Quatix 7 backlight not working at all, brand new watch

I just bought a quatix 7 and backlight is not working at all , didn't find anything useful on this forum. Is this a known issue and a fix is coming or should I send the watch back to Garmin?

    Your watch is obviously defective. If you live in the EU and bought the watch online, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 days.

    Please return your Quatix 7 back to the vendor it was purchased from. I am sorry you have the issue.
