Hi. I am a Stryd User and would like to use their power data instead the native ones. How?
There is no native running power from the watch.
Or are you using a hrm pro or such?
Hrm pro. If i disconnect it from fenix leaving it only paired
on connect app? Will it work?
No, you should pair your HRM-Pro via BLE (actually, you can just change connection type to BLE).
That would sadly disable all running dynamics data from the strap, but would remove Garmin's native running power.
Either that, or run indoors where Garmin running power doesn't reach.
Running power works indoors with HRM-Pro.
Thanks. Will do. I get all the data from stryd.
Just as an FYI, the Garmin running power and the Stryd running power run in parallel. The Garmin power data does not replace or override stryd in any way, and vice versa. If you use both an HRM-Pro and a Stryd (as I do, too), then you will end up with two power data charts in the activity on Connect, but that's fine really, just ignore the Garmin data if you want.
Likewise, on the watch you can just use the Stryd datafield instead of the native Power datafield, if you want.
Or as Nickk recommended, if you don't care about any of the Garmin running dynamics data then you can connect the sensor as BLE, which will disable that since the HRM-Pro can't do RD data over BLE.
Many thanks. Being used to stryd values it looks like that the Garmin ones are way too high.
Ya my garmin power measurements are also a lot higher, by like 50%. The overall charts are surprisingly similar though.
Garmin power is higher but if you add Stryd Power + form power its close.
And the trend lines are very similar when overlaid as you say
Sorry but on my Fenix 7s with latest beta software there is no way to change the connection type from ant+ to ble… or am I doing something wrong?
