Nice to see what's inside. I wonder how many dust particles will show up behind the glass after putting it back together  Unless that space is sealed off from the rest of the watch of course.

The battery is labeled with 4.45V (end-of-charge voltage).

I know that normally Lithium-Polymer batteries have a max. charge voltage of 4.2V ... 4.25V but never heard of as high as 4.45V. I wonder which…

Hi. I edited the post. I think that screenshot is wrong too, that is why it may be removed.

It has similarities with Venu but we can't know exatly. And even these weren't advertised as ECG supporting devices.

What post do You mean? The MN version couldn't be find on manufacture site anymore. It's strange. Maybe the chip was same like M version, but only modified for some companies for a while.

I mean the teardown post. MN is widely used in such watches. I think MN and M are same but MN has some of the GNSS processing pipline disabled. Both have the same power consumption values. How that happens if one only calculates signal from a single system while the other calculates data from multiple systems?

This teardown didn't answer my main question: how is that possible that barometric altimeter, which obviously is electronic, doesn't break down after contact with water as it has to be exposed to air to measure the pressure. Will someone please solve this mystery?

Why do you think it should break down?

Yes, barometer is electronic. However, no electrical circuit interfaces with water. It has a membrane that interfaces with outer air and water. Behind that is the parts doing the measurement and work.

How would I know? That's the part I was most curious about and the teardown didn't even show it :/

Because that watch is still in use and in a good condition. :D

You can check it here, in a more deep teardown of a Fenix 3 HR. medium.com/.../fēnix-3-hr-a-non-destructive-teardown-bcfb45f1b746
