Sunset/Sunrise time is in UTC rather than my current timezone

I have the same problem.  Brand-new fenix 7 as of Dec 22 2022 and the sunset/sunrise widget lists UTC times.  So my sunrise on the west coast of CA  is 3:20 pm instead of 7:20 am.  Ha!

Qicj update, on my side this was fixed a few updates ago.

I did nothing specific and one day it was all good. You may want to try and get the latest updates

Hi, Matt.  I just now went to System/check for updates and the watch claims it has the latest software, so no luck in that dept.  Neither does Garmin Express on m laptop think the watch needs updates.  So I'll see what tech support says in response to my email.

What version software do you have?

Same thing happens with the public beta 11.22 that I now am using.

Problem solved with help from Garmin phone support that said it would be OK to delete the time zone maps.

Solution:

1. mount garmin device on computer

2. delete files garmin/gmaptz.img and gmaptz.sum

3. disconnect watch from computer

4. turn watch off, then on

5. mount watch on computer again

6 run garmin express and sync.  This silently updates the time zone map but doesn't tell you.

7. disconnect watch from computer.  Problem fixed.
