Same issue here. Fenix 6 pro. I guess they mean to delete your planned (or in my case past) „events“, not your logged „activities“.

Fenix 6 Sapphire - Race predictor suddenly showing elite times (5km went from 27min to 18min), but overnight resets to normal, but glitches back to odd times after recording any activity (not just a run, but walk, strength - anything). Seems to be following 28.02 update. Nothing I do can resolve the mismatch with race predictor spikes. VO2Max unchanged. No other changes to what I do, only this sudden and inaccurate race predictor times now.

If Garmin hasn’t sorted this by now (18 days) I expect it’s not about technical know-how, it is more likely that German is not particularly interested in Fenix 6 owners. That’s a very short term perspective by Garmin.

Is garmin gonna hurry up and fix this??? its completely ruining the stats. Also the training program i use takes garmins race prediction for pace, its saying my easy pace is 175HR when its wrong on the watch. Its been almost a month now!

Hi, I have the same issue

On my side, the issue started on June 14 on my side and the heat climate changed on June 28.

the days I’m not training the prediction is accurate but the day I run (5xweek) I’m suddenly an Elite Athlete.

I tried all the above recommendations and still not working properly..

Great! You can also make a screenshot of the prediction screen before and after the run (to see whether it changed at all). You can assign the Screenshot function to a hotkey, and the screenshot can then be retrieved over the USB cable from the folder //GARMIN/Scrnshot/

I still wonder why the problem occurs only now, more than a year after the last firmware update. I though that perhaps the Heat Acclimation could play a role, but then it should have happened already the last summer too (actually also in December-February on the Southern hemisphere). However, just out of curiosity, how does the Heat Acclimation look like in the same period? Are there any wild changes, too?

I'll check again after my next run to be sure,
I don't take my phone with me on runs, so it won't sync until I am back in my apartment. I can check the watch whilst I am still outside and well out of range of my phone.

Yes, but normally, the activity is synced to Connect as soon as you save it, so unless the phone was not available, the skewed metrics from Connect could have been already sent back to the watch. Checking the times immediately before the activity, and then after it, while having the BT disabled is important to pinpoint where the problem may be coming from.

Changing the body parameters won't trigger any backwards recalculation of any metrics. It only impacts metrics measured after the change. So unfortunately, it won't help much in this case.

It would be interesting to see whether the prediction directly on the watch is wrong immediately after a new run with VO2max value, or only once it gets synced with Connect. If any of you have the possibility to test it (temporarily disabling BT / syncing, checking the value on the watch, the syncing and checking again), it could help finding out whether it is the watch self that corrupts the prediction, or rather Connect.

That is strange, because the firmware v28.02 for F6 was released more than a year ago, in March 2025, and there was no new release since. Did you all update to v28.02 only now in June? That does not sound very probable, seeing the number of people reporting the issue.

To me it looks more like a problem of Connect, but in the same time it is strange that it seems to cause problems practically exclusively on Fenix 6. There is only a single post of a Marq 2 user describing a similar problem. I did not find other complaints on any other device-specific forums. And my own predicted times on Instinct 3 are pretty stable.

How do the predicted times look like, directly on the watch? (they should be available when scrolling down on the VO2max widget)
