My Garmin Fenix 6 x has been working great for the last 2 years until the latest software update has made my watch totally unusable battery wont hold a charge watch freezes every day i have lost all the topo maps Bluetooth doesn't work phone now has a different menu pressing buttons does nothing watch keeps highlighting storm alert watch wont connect to Garmin express now i called Garmin wanted me to pay 175 pound for a reconditioned Fenix cant believe iam now left with a worthless watch that i paid 750 just over 2 years ago shame on you GARMIN

Try again. Try emailing and describing it exactly, if it's showing the tactic watch face mention that. They've been known to replace watches with this fault out of warranty.

Yes it is stuck on the tactic watch face was trying to post picture of it on site but can seem to anywhere to attach an image

2 years - it's out of warranty. That's not a terrible price for a refurbished one

The thing is 2 years of owning this watch i was in a covid lock down so hardly used the watch seems unreasonable to have to fork all this out

Have nothing to do with the price.It's not first time a software update do this. Had the same on a Fenix 5 plus. Was replaced by Garmin Asia without any trouble. They acknowledged the problem and took responsibility, just like they should do. Still got the emails from them.

I am of the view that if a device fails after a software update then Garmin should replace, regardless of warranty status.

There should not be a lottery depending on your region and which customer service rep. answers the query.

Updates can be pushed unsolicited via Garmin Express, even if a user disables automatic software updates on the watch.
