Hi,

Otherwise you can backdate to public System version using the backdate version included in archive on the announcement post

  • Please note that backdating software will always clear all settings on your Garmin product.

  • im in UK, joined beta now, 6Xpro, 20.86, says fw is up to date

As a member of the Public Beta program, this update will be automatically delivered to your watch through GCM.

Please note that GCM will check for an available update once every 24 hours, and after that it may take several hours for the update to finish transferring and be available on your watch to install.

If you would like to speed up this process, we recommend syncing with Garmin Express to receive the update files faster.

  • Thanks for your kind warning, but I am not looking for any feedback from Garmin any longer. I properly reported these bugs attaching videos amd/or screenshots to Outdoor Product Support via email. Also sending refenreces to threads dealing with these bugs separately.

And answered all of their additional inquiries. I did my part, but not did they.  And the funniest thing is that from these three tickets one has been closed by Garmin saying that I was the only one who reported it through that specific channel, I mean Outdoor Product Support email.

I just want to keep these bugs “above the surface of water” to make it transparent that a separated and hidden beta discussions will go nowhere if its only reason is to decrease the level of transparency.

  • Yes I was already enrolled and I still only saw the 2nd link. I see all 3 now, so it looks like it's some "eventually consistent" sync issue in the servers...

  • Same for me, support won't/can't help either :(

  • This really sucks! I wonder if anyone with fenix 6S Pro was able to join the beta program?

I used to like the Garmin beta program. I even understand the introduction of the new method of distributing betas since it undoubtedly is the most convenient way of getting them for majority of people. But I do not like the end result which unwillingly drops me out of he beta program. It might be time for me to update to Coros...

  • I keep a little old laptop with Win10 around, specifically for using Express. Every time I've used it I appreciate Linux even more.

  • the advantage of having the beta file is that you could reverse to a stable version if you did not like it. i guess no more backdate then if you join the new beta. if it messes up your watch, what do you do ?

  • Backdate files are stored under Garmin Express hidden folders, but we need feedback to know if it works :-)

"Downgrades will be available with the alpha zip files we provide when available."

"When you exit the beta software, it will remain on your device until the final version of the software is available. Once the software is updated, you will no longer receive the beta software.

If you sell or give your device to a third party while the beta software is still installed, we recommend that you inform the new owner of the device that the beta software is installed on their device. This beta software will be removed when the final version of the software is downloaded to the device."

How do I leave the Beta Software Program?

      1. Sign into Garmin Connect
      2. Click   in the upper right
      3. Click Device Settings for the enrolled product
      4. Click Leave Beta Software Program
      5. Read Beta Software Program opt out information
      6. Click Opt Out
  • I’m still not entirely sure, if I join the Beta program, can I also opt out and reinstall GA software? Some beta’s seem relatively stable, some seem like a disaster so I still want to pick and choose which ones I try.
