Best advice I found (which worked) was from 2572376
Ok, update, I contacted Garmin support. They said to plug garmin into computer goto garmin directory and delete GarminDevice.XML, then turn off and on…
Read the other threads. If nothing works contact Garmin support.
Try one of the default watch faces.
Mine does the same since 15.20. Did both a power off and a reset with no difference. Waiting for next update to hopefully fix this issue. Very annoying.

Ok, update, I contacted Garmin support. They said to plug garmin into computer goto garmin directory and delete GarminDevice.XML, then turn off and on device. Support says this clears a corrupted update. When you turn watch on again, the file is recreated. This has affected some Fenix 6 devices but not all. Says if this doesnt fix device then return it to Garmin for replacement.
The most sensible response I have had from a support person in a long time.

Thanks. I just did it and I will follow! Hope it works.
Thanks! Will try and report back.
Well unfortunately after trying this it didn't work. Still lost over 25% in one day (with no gps used). Next will try disabling WiFi and then, if needed, bluetooth.
Try one of the default watch faces.
I deleted GarminDevice.XML four days ago. It helped for standby time, it eats 3%/day and it was like 20%/day before. But it didn't help for activity tracking, activity WITHOUT GPS (strength, indoor climbing) eats 20%/hour even without sensors. Outdoor running with GPS eats the same 20%/hour, which is very weird. Looks like some background process eats battery during activity. This situation is after factory reset, no apps installed, BT+WiFi+OX+pulse OFF. Battery charging takes 2h with proper charger, which shows it can store enough energy. Fenix 6X pro.
I did the same and it didn't work. Garmin watches are better than the competition mostly because of the battery. Now garmin is loosing that edge. Many people are having that problem with their battery in fenix 6
