Fenix 6X Pro - s/w 13.10
My last 2 walking routes seem to be way off the mark when viewed on a map, whether in Garmin Connect or Strava. One had me starting 5 miles away.
Any reason for this? Is the GPS accuracy really bad? Are there any tips to improve accuracy?

Not impacting everyone, but it is a system-wide issue impacting multiple device types, not only Garmin devices.
Please note, I have updated my original post with additional new information. The long GPS soak before all Outdoor activities will workaround the CPE being Expired and should improve your GPS tracking…
While in general I'm more or less fine with my fenix 6 GPS accuracy, today the recorded track was completely off (see screenshot, red line is the actual track). I wonder how this can happen. Did they change the firmware? I mean, I got used to the fact that the first kilometer is ALWAYS wrong, probably because it shows "ready" when, in fact, it's not. And I got used to the fact that the live pace reading is useless and completely wrong (only average pace kind of works). But I would at least expect the watch to find the right position at some point during the run. However, in this example, it seems like it carried forward the initial offset. Come on, Garmin, you can do better! I paid 800 for this watch. Use more battery if you need to, but please give me accurate GPS readings. As a runner I want a tool I can rely on.
