Battery drain is horrendous after the 13.10 update! The battery drained 20% in 1 hour with no activities being recorded. I tried reset to factory settings. See how that goes. Very poor update. Garmin Fenix S Pro here.

For years I've always found my watch will drain battery faster than usual (forerunners and now Fenix). A few years back, after trial and error, I've found that after new update, if I switch off the watch…
I solved this issue according to this recommendation. Removing related file solved it, now I have magnificent battery life as far as I tested. In 24 hours with 1.5 hour running activity + heart rate sensor…
Same for me. The update went fine. Suddenly after charging the fenix, I do have a battery drain: 30% during the night in battery mode. Normal was 1-2%. It is strange because the update was a few weeks…
Just an update. After a master reset, i had hopes when it drained about a percent overnight. but 36 hours later I was down 50% with 2 hours of running in there. Garmin is swapping it out. I had a 230 that eventually was unable to lock on to GPS and they swapped that one out, and its been solid for 4 years. Hopefully they just have some random faulty batteries.
i am on 14.72 beta and the drain's still here. by mistake i found out that this only happens if the watch is connected by bluetooth to the phone (i have an iPhone running iOS 14.4 but i think this is less relevant). if i kill the bluetooth on the watch the battery drain goes down. now i have no sync (connect app is closed and has no background activity or rights to do so) and no smart notifications - just SMS and calls (which are not so many). i have no idea what triggered the increased battery drain but i guess the watch is now just a logger which i sync every now and then...
Hi all. Just an update on my Fenix 6 The 12 hour battery life has now gone back to 'normal'. I say normal it's now showing 11 days! On saver mode it's now showing 41 days. All i did was turn off the WiFi as I never use it.
did you solve it, I have headaches about this. it drained %56 percent of the battery in 90 minutes run. they must be kidding, I hard reseted this watch 10+ times and soft reseting daily. I am using it like a simple watch for last 4-5 months (no phone connectivity, no PulseOx, no Wi-Fi etc.) and it keeps dying in 2-3 days and it only shows the time, really Garmin?
Well I have sent the watch to Garmin, they have sent me a new one. No issues now, so it definitely was a hardware issue.
I solved this issue according to this recommendation. Removing related file solved it, now I have magnificent battery life as far as I tested. In 24 hours with 1.5 hour running activity + heart rate sensor (without phone connection, without wi-fi) consumes 2-3 % battery. Sound reasonable, but I am not sure how frequently should I do that magic fix:S
Solution : Connect to device and remove GarminDevice.XML file + restart (file is created with new boot cycle)
post that I mentioned:
There is no solution. I've tried soft reset, hard reset, turning wi-fi off, turning bluetooth off, deleting serveral widgets, deleting garmindevice XML file, deleting explorer app, deleting connect iq app, unpairing and pairing watch to the phone with connect app. Nothing works. I contacted garmin assistance, and after telling them that i've tried everything, they told me to delete all non-garmin widgets. Ahahahahah. Obviously it didn't work.
My previous watches (fenix 3 saphire and fenix 5X saphire) had bluetooth problems. My 6X saphire has battery problems I don't know why i still with garmin.
I have a 3 month old device and it dies in 2-3 days like yours. No phone connectivity,No PulseOx,no Wifi,No heart rate.A lot of headaches for a lot of money:)
I have written another topic in the forum about this. After a hard reset because of the battery drain, now the watch is stuck in a eternal reboot loop. I had a fenix 3 saphire, a fenix 5X and now a 6X... all were problematic because of the software
