Battery drain is horrendous after the 13.10 update! The battery drained 20% in 1 hour with no activities being recorded. I tried reset to factory settings. See how that goes. Very poor update. Garmin Fenix S Pro here.

For years I've always found my watch will drain battery faster than usual (forerunners and now Fenix). A few years back, after trial and error, I've found that after new update, if I switch off the watch…
I solved this issue according to this recommendation. Removing related file solved it, now I have magnificent battery life as far as I tested. In 24 hours with 1.5 hour running activity + heart rate sensor…
Same for me. The update went fine. Suddenly after charging the fenix, I do have a battery drain: 30% during the night in battery mode. Normal was 1-2%. It is strange because the update was a few weeks…
Same here. I am tired of this. Come on Garmin
Update time and watch seems to be fine now ever since I closed the GC app on my phone and disabled background app refresh
What OS? What phone?
On my iPhone 11 with iOS 14.3 and GCM 4.38 I am seeing no unusual battery drain with WiFi on, BT on and GCM on.
Plus one for some bad stuff happening under the hood.
I have Fenix 6 Sapphire and after last updates discharge rate got to somewhat 30+% per day with:
- Pulse Ox enabled while sleeping
- HR enabled all day
- BT always on (well, it makes no sense not to have it connected to the mobile phone)
- Tried w/ original Garmin WF, my default is Infocal WF
Sometimes it seems like something gets stucked in the background and drains pretty much % per an hour (meant by the author of the post)
Well, Garmin, I hope this gets fixed pretty soon
I have to charge my watches like every 4th day, You were much better :-D
Update for everyone, after all of this, they want me to send it back to them for exchange, I don't know what happen.... I decide on the deposit exchange with them.... I really hope this isn't a wife spread problem being as I paid 900 for watch.....

it is definitelly something with gps/ BT or ANT+,
had the watch off the phone and sensors for 1 day, battery went down 1% so no drain, the moment I connect it to phone, I get 1% per 1-2h.
Watch off the phone but running activity with 2 ANT+ devices, my drain for 2h40min around 24%, a friend of mine (same 6X with latest firmware, also 2 ANT+ and connected to phone via BT for the same bike trip drain only 5%.
my watch also seems to struggle since the latest update.
This is today’s battery drain with no exercise at all.
emailed garmin twice now but didn’t get any answer.
last I charged my watch was Sunday morning and it was down to 10% just after 9pm. Only went out for a short 50 mins run that day.
Big drain in my case also.
All sensors OFF, BT&wifi OFF, no activity. No new app installed last months.
F6X is showing 44d of remaining battery after charge. But going down 10% per day only in watch mode, almost without use. Restarted several times, charged all night...
Hi, may be something Else to try
Turn off auto update on Garmin IQ ans when you dont use it, close it, I mean '' kill'' it, no background process.
Replacement works great guys, it seems it is a hardware issue. Only one day of use will report back in one week.
