Fenix 6 solar titanium DLC - wrist HR sensor stops working randomly according to temperature change

I recently bought new Fenix 6 solar titanium dlc and encountered failure straight out of box. After few hours of usage, wrist HR sensor leds turn off and stop measuring - HR field showing dashes instead of numbers. I reset the watch and reconfigure it multiple times, but without success. First I suspected faulty HR sensor, but then discovered something else - sensor stops working if temperature is higher than 34 degrees Celsius, but if watch cools down under that temperature threshold, HR sensor wakes up and starts working again. I wonder if anybody else has encountered same bug? I plan to exchange watch under warranty, but we are under lockdown currently, and can't return it to Garmin store, so I'll have to wait..

btw: I already scratched the surface of titanium dlc band, when manually trying to remove some of the links..those pins are some piece of work really!

Your watch is not designed to measure HR under water. Looks like your "test" was to wear the watch while holding it submerged in warm/hot water - it is no surprise the HR monitor stopped functioning under those circumstances.

When worn normally, i.e. not underwater, does the HRM work as it should?

My words were poorly chosen - should have written, "Your watch is probably not set up to measure HR under water."

SnedviC - check your Wrist Heart Rate settings and make sure "While Swimming" is toggled ON, then repeat your experiment.

Thanks for the effort gaijin - it would really be great if it was just a toggle (I checked and swimming HR setting is enabled), but unfortunately HR sensor error is not activity related, as it happens randomly just wearing the watch. Now, when weather is colder HR sensor stays active longer if low temperature is maintained, but shuts down in the middle of activity. As it cools down, it starts working again. I guess it is faulty hardware, as there is no one reporting similar problem.
