I think it’s trying to fill out the 4 week load focus graphs (training status -> 4*down). Not a comprehensive training program, but more of a ‘this would fit in today’ kind of thing if you’re without inspiration…
Purpose is to help you maintain or improve your fitness so my take is no specific program. I suspect that if you have a program that you follow that it might be challenging for Garmin to work with yours…
Got this for the second day in a row now. Strange, im fully recovered according to the recovery meter.
Indeed they seem to hard. I only took a look but did not attempt as it looks way beyond what I can achive
I have moderate efforts workouts
I haven't figured out what Garmin's goal is with the workouts yet. What are they training me for? I've tried a few. Today's was weird. 15min warmup (I'm old, I need a bit longer), then 2 sets of 5, 10second sprints (running), with 2 min rest in between. the goal pace of the sprints was unattainable, unless your last name is Kipchoge. The 2 min rest in between was really long- for such short sprints. And- since I didn't see the proposed workout prior to me going out and running- I didn't have the right shoes on to do sprints. Hard to run all-out in cushy Hokas.
Anyway- I'm playing with them, but I think I might be better putting my own workouts on the calendar.

The target population would likely be those who are perhaps developing a fitness regime rather than for those who are already fit, active and healthy.

Interesting Anders- Do you have a training plan on your calendar or planned intense workouts in the next day or two? Those two certainly don't seem to jive.
Strange, same advice today. Did some 100m interals yesterday. 4 hours to full recovery, 100% body battery and suggestion is still "Rest"
Morey000, no, i have no training plan or planned workouts in the watch. Never had. Im planning my workouts the old fashioned way ;)
Im using a Fenix 6X Pro Solar with version 11.76 Beta.
I’ve found this feature to be useful for where I am, fitness-wise, right now.
I got clipped by a car while cycling back in May. No serious injuries but couldn’t run for a while because my right knee took a good bash and couldn’t ride because my left rotator cuff wouldn’t allow me to support much weight with my arm.
Once I was okay to start working out again I was flailing about. Too out of shape to run my normal paces and too dense to cut mileage. So I would go well for a week and then be overtired and have to take a few days off.
So far the suggested workouts have been reasonable base runs and rides and a couple of workouts have a few brief spurts of speed/power. Today is the first time it has suggested a threshold run. 10:00 warm up, 22:00 threshold, 10:00 cool down. The pace given for the threshold segment used to be my marathon pace but it will probably pretty challenging, but not impossible. We’ll see how it goes.
My experience so far is that while the workout has paces plugged in to the segments the paces above and below the stated pace makes for a pretty generous pace range before it starts telling you that you’re going too slow or too fast.
