Tides

Garmin has one app "tides" which show incorrect information at my location. 2 years later the situation is the same no correct tides information.

Yes, but a very basic tide indication as the one provided by Casio's would be fine. You basically input the date and the time of first high tide on that day, and it calculates the (approximate) tides for any future day. In the end what we care most as surfers is when the tide is going up or down, which is also very useful to know whether it's time to get out of the water!

With the Garmin Tide App, you get the tide data for 7 days. Not enough? I think there is only similar functionality, if you purchase an additional Garmin bluechart map, you can scroll to another date (but only day by day),which shows you the (approximate) tides (if the tides for this location are available).

I'll give it a try, but judging from the reviews it's not a great app.

incorrect tide information on tha app

Inability to refresh the tides data over Wi-Fi or during GE syncs makes the app barely useful for me. I see no point in using smartphone app - just keeping it for Tides only looks silly.

And, yes, 7 days are not enough. A month would be sufficient for me.

I agree. It does not look like a very difficult task. At this point I'd rather have some pre-stored and not precise tide data like in Casio's rather than having to refresh while synching. I don't have and I would prefer not to have the phone all the time with me.
