  • I wanted to drain the battery as quickly as possible after the update, so after updating to beta 11.75, I charged my phoenix 6 sapphire, then turned on the running activity, put the watch on my hand and went to bed.
At night I woke up and was surprised at the result, it turns out I was running at night in the fifth heart rate zone!
Here are screenshots of my sleep workout (I slept in bed).
I have everything in order with my heart and I do not see the pulse 177 even in training, but here during sleep. This is problem!
And second, the altitude sensor started showing a jump of 50 meters!
I attach screenshots of the problem.

    Sounds logical.

    Thanks

  • Bug -- reported --

Have watch configured to announce split times and heart rate.

Start music to bluetooth headphones from the watch.

Start a RUN activity, wait for sync, begin running.

The usual announcement of lap time and heart rate will *not* come through.  In addition, a good part of the time when you should get a tone (as you do on "sync acquired" or when the lap announcement is made) bluetooth connectivity is lost and your music stops.

You can long-press-bottom-right and get back to the watch screen, go back to music, and reconnect the music which will continue without interrupting the activity.  However, you still won't get the announcements.

This was working properly on the last public release and in fact on all prior releases.  Fenix 6x Pro.

  • Same.  Stryd Zones data field just shows IQ.  No Power recorded on my runs.

  • Have best completed a suggested training. According to this, I should run in the base area. I started training and in the end I was in the pace area. This although I ran in the green pace area. There is still a lot of optimisation needed.

  • For me, OHR while hiking really seemed much better on today's hike. At least it passed basic sanity checks that it went up while hiking up the hill and gave me reasonable training effect. My max HR went to 170, while before, it would just hover around 120 no matter what.

  • So does anybody tried 200m instead of 400m oval track run? Or it's up on me? :-)

  • nice, very glad to hear this. I will try today and report back.

  • Bug -- reported --

Have watch configured to announce split times and heart rate.

I have audio alerts for split times and current pace (every minute) and do not have this problem. Same drill: start Spotify, connect headphones (music plays), open run app, start run, music and audio alerts work fine during the run.

Have you tried doing a forced power off? It’s sometimes called a soft reset or hard reset depending which support article you read, then power up the watch again. To do this, hold the Light button for 20 seconds until the watch turns off - ignore the assistance alert thing, it won’t trigger if you keep holding the button. It’s a bit like rebooting windows after a system/software update and historically has helped clear all sorts of issues after a software update on Garmin watches. (NB: you won’t loose settings or noticeable data doing this - that only happens with a master reset to factory condition)

  • Watch keeps restarting every now and then (when connecting to sensors) even after two soft resets.

I’ve seen this too and having reported similar crashes in the past to the Garmin beta team, I understand that it is helpful if you do the following after such a crash to re-boot:

    • Once the watch restarts go Menu>System>About and repeatedly press the Light button until a ‘Development’ menu appears
    • Select the ‘Save RAM Region’ option from the Development menu (saving can take a few seconds as it adds the data to the Garmin/Debug folder in the watch)
    • Plug your watch in to a PC and copy the contents of your Garmin/Debug folder to the PC and compress it to a zip file (the size will shrink a lot doing this).
    • Send the zip file with a brief description of what you were doing with the watch when it crashed, to [email protected] (apparently helps if the email title is descriptive, something like “Fenix 6 11.75beta crash connecting to sensor”)
