New FNX 6 pro solar but no OHR

Hi All,

just bought a Fenix 6 Pro Solar today. I have been trying for the past 6 hours to get it to read my HR to no avail. The green LEDs never seem to be flashing. Is this something I may have done wrong in setup? Or is this potentially a hardware issue where I’ll need to return the device? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you make sure in the sensors menu that the HR sensor is enabled?

Is your device perhaps in battery saver mode and ohr disabled?

Menu>Power Manager>Battery Saver...

Is it your first HR watch ?
Any tattoos ?
Have you tested it on the other arm ? On someone else arm ?

Just turned off battery saver and restarted the watch... no change

I have tattoos on my arms but nowhere near the sensors.

hi, that is a bad start

remedies ...

do the leds light green at all

when no, try these two options

1) enter the ohr menu and turn ohr off

press and hold the light button until the screen goes dark
turn your watch back on
go into the ohr menu and turn ohr on
check the ohr leds

2) you can check the ohr leds via the service menu

enter service menu
turn your watch off
while pressing the down button press and release the light button
keep pressing the down button until a peep and menu show up
you can leave the service menu by pressing the light buton
while in the service menu scroll through the menu using the back/lap button

Lights come on in service menu and lit up when I reactivated the OHR but cut out shortly after. Still not taking heart rate

so, no hardware failure (yet)

please describe the actions you take in more detail to take away doubts about user error

Lights come on in service menu and lit up when I reactivated the OHR but cut out shortly after.

when this happened while in service menu, then it is normal behavior

does the ohr work on other body parts, like your thumb ?

does the hr widget contain data in the graph ?

what are the leds doing when you start a heart rate broadcast ?

The green LEDs never seem to be flashing.

according the knowledge in the forum, the leds measure with three different frequencies depending on the situation
