  • I've got Fenix 6s pro (sapphire) and this beta has problems with Bluetooth HR sensors. It neither sees or finds external HR sensors via Bluetooth. Fenix can connect to them (and finds them) via ANT+. I've got Polar OH1+ and Scosche Rhythm 24 and tested this on both of them. I've also don the hard reset routine, but that does not help. The watch has no Bluetooth connectivity issues with phone or headphones.

  • Does anybody else have problems with weather widget not synchronizing anymore with the new firmware?

Kind of.  Often when I go to the weather info on the watch now, it's not updated.  and then I need to go to my phone, open Garmin Connect, and then it updates.  It doesn't seem as seamless as before.  I haven't reported this yet.

  • I'm running 5.76 and for the first time ever I've managed to pair my Polar H7 strap with a Fenix watch.  Maybe it worked before,  but I got fed up with failures with my 3HR and 5X+. This is on my 6X Pro Solar.

  • I have tried also with 5.76.

I do not get any audio alerts on my phone(no headphones connected) as i was getting before 5.74.

I see on the watch the lap alert and summary. But no audio on my phone, which is clearly connected during the activity.

I have also activated power, heart, speed/pace alerts with different time intervals. No audio alert at all.

After all the deactivations/activations I've checked on my watch to see that the settings were synchronized. And, yes, I can see the same settings like I selected in GCM

Anyone having this issue? Or is it working for you?

are there maybe some known issues related to this?

I have also started a dummy hike activity and pressed the lap button but also no audio alert

  • Here is my comparison. I was able to wear two watches for a few hours.
With version 5.0 I had the problem that despite activity I was only shown a rest plus.

    I updated to 5.76 BETA.

Now the pulse seems realistic. It's a bit higher than the Fitbit's, but both overlap. The Fenix seems to be more detailed.

  • If that is what is happening (i.e. the F6 is going into low-power WHR sampling mode when not in an activity), then I would support a setting that allowed users to choose whether or not the F6 should use that low-power mode.

For now, I prefer the low-power mode, as I am more interested in battery life than WHR measurements over 120 when not in an activity.

It would, however, be nice to have the choice.

  • I do not get any audio alerts on my phone(no headphones connected) as i was getting before 5.74.

My phone audio alerts were working on 5.76, during my run last night. However, a couple times they took a while. For example, my watch buzzed when a lap was complete, and then 30 seconds later the phone would announce it.

  • I upgraded from 5.72 to 5.76. In Pool Swim mode I no longer get lap HR and audio lap times.

  • I had a sensor (Stryd) drop-out first time in ages with this new firmware. And since Sensor hub was updated I did a report on it via the official channel. Just adding a note here to the discussion too. May or may not be related to the upgrade. Just something to keep an eye on.

  • I did a 10k run today with stryd - and no drop outs (F6x solar)
