Do not disturb and alarms

I set an alarm on Garmin connect and synced it to my watch. I verified it was on and active on my watch. The alarm was set on vibrate only as I didn't want to disturb my husband. My watch is set on do not disturb at night because I don't want texts and calls to come to it at night. The alarm did not go off this morning at 6am when it was set. Once do not disturb went off  at 7:15 on my watch so did the alarm on my watch. How do I allow alarms on my watch when do not disturb is active. Is anyone else having this problem. My watch is up to date version 4.30.

    I tried it at the weekend.

    The alarm was kicked off properly in 'do not disturb' mode with setting it up on either the phone or the watch.

    In my opinion, that is the expected behavior as it is mentioned in the Fenix manual as well:

    It does indeed appear that the alarm should go off even with DND set. In which case OP should contact Garmin support.

    Hi ,

    Thanks for reporting this issue. Alarms should go off during Do Not Disturb mode, so this does sound like a bug. However, I'm not able to reproduce the issue when creating an alarm in Connect or on the watch itself. I suspect the bug might be specific to some of the settings you chose. Can you answer these questions to help me troubleshoot this issue?

    • Did you create the alarm on Connect web, or on the Connect App?
      • If the app, are you using a phone with iOS or Android?
      • What version of the app are you using? (Menu - Settings)
    • What time is you sleep window set to? (You can check this on the watch by going to Menu - System - Do Not Disturb. What time does it list under "During Sleep")
    • When you go to bed, are you manually turning on Do Not Disturb, or letting the watch automatically enter it?
    • When you created the alarm, what are the settings you picked for:
      • Time
      • Sounds
      • Frequency

    1. I originally created the alarms on an android phone Using the connect app. I am using a Galaxy S10 phone app version 4.25.1

    2. My DND is set from 11:50p-7:30a.

    3. It is set to automatically turn on.

    4. I set the alarm at 6:00a and set it the first time with just vibrate. I thought maybe I didn't feel it on Thursday (one time only for a turkey trot). I set it for Saturdays at 6:00a (repeat every Saturday) and had it set to tone and vibrate. Still did not go off. I have an additional alarm set for 8:05a for every weekday that goes off without fail on vibrate only and has since I set up the watch. 

    Just as a note. I have since cleared all of the alarms from the watch and Garmin Connect and reset them on the watch and control them from the watch and they seem to be working.

    I disagree, during do not disturb, notifications shuld go off but not alarm.
    Is the same in my phone: when in do not disturb, only notifications are off, alarms continue to ring.
