Fenix 6s heart rate reading high during activity

Just been for my first run with a Fenix 6s sapphire. Heart rate was fairly accurate for the first 15 mins and then ranked up to between 170 and 190 and stayed there for the remaining 45 mins of my run. No way that was what it was, I’m an experienced runner and based on effort it was around 150 at most. I’ve just changed from a Fenix 5s and had no such issues with that, watch placement and tightness worn the same. Heart rate readings at rest seem about right. Anyone else seen anything similar or have a fix?

I went on a ride today had my edge connected to the hr strap and watch (6X Sapphire) in watch mode on my wrist, watch never went above 110.bpm while my actual average hr was 153. Many other users report the same problem.

Was your cadence between 170 and 190?

It was - but consistently low 180s (ie didn’t track with HR). I’ve seen this mentioned before (HR picking up cadence) but didn’t have this issue with the 5s which was also an optical sensor?

I also just recently replaced my 5s with the 6s and I am having the same issue. My last two runs it said my heart was between 170-190 the entire time and my heart rate has never been that high on a run. It seems to be ok for everything else. Help please!!!

I'm having the same problems. I had no issues with the Fenix 5s and now my heart rate is up at between 170-190 when running. My watch is then telling me I'm peaking in zone 5 and my training has been intense.. which it hasn't it's just the same?

Not wanting to tempt fate but...... updated to the sensor hub 2.32 beta software and seems much better. One brief spike up in 180 at around the 40min mark but otherwise held steady between mid 140s and mid 150s for the full hour (which felt right - running in fairly strong wind). PulseOx also seems more accurate (was previously reading low-mid 90% which was a little odd as I was well rested and no more than 20m above sea level, now says 100%).

I am having this same problem on 6X it's really annoying. I have done everything to try fix but not been able to do it. Never had these problems on 5X
