Every time I engage ski mode (and go skiing) it locks up. Have to do a 30 second hold reset. Have tried a bunch of variations. Nothing solves it. Garmin please fix. Device is coming back to you within a week otherwise.

Hi everyone,
We are aware of one bug that can cause a crash at high altitudes. Starting in our v4.65 beta update, we included a fix for this crash. (Our current beta version is now v4.67.) In reading these…
Good news. I upgraded my Fenix 6x to 5.0 this morning and went skiing. 3 hours, 9 runs, 3200 masl max. The ski mode worked like a charm. It didn‘t freeze. Thanks for fixing this.
anyway this is ridiculous because in cervinia, at the arrival of one of the chairlifts, there is a mega advertising: GARMIN FENIX 6 MADE FOR SKIING
can anyone try to torn off the ski maps and test te app? i can try next week maybe
Yes, the one called "ski/snowboard tracker". Unfortunately it crashed the watch couple of minutes after starting the run.
How do you turn off the ski maps?
Could someone that's been having the issue please try this on the 4.67 beta? Always a reasonable chance something like this has been fixed.
I had this issue with 4.63 beta (ski maps on and off), but works ok with 4.65 (4 days of ski, did not freeze)
I did send my watch to DACH support today, I’m pretty sure this won’t help much but I’ll give it a try
probably I need to wait (10 days?) till I can test the new device
Hi everyone,
We are aware of one bug that can cause a crash at high altitudes. Starting in our v4.65 beta update, we included a fix for this crash. (Our current beta version is now v4.67.) In reading these comments, I'm seeing that most reports are on public software v4.30 (and MARQ 5.30). My hope is that the crash you've seen in the ski app is the same high-altitude crash that we've fixed. I'd like to confirm that, but I'll need help from those of you who have seen the crash in the ski app.
If you've seen the crash in the ski app, please email us at [email protected]. Please follow these steps with your email:
Thank you!
