Why won't my Body Battery charge?

I love the idea of the Body Battery, but mine won't charge. The first day I had the Fenix it started off at 50% and then slowly decreased to 23 the next morning. It only charged 4% during the night. Then it was stuck at 5% for over a day and now it is at 15%, having charged only 10 over night.

It's possible my resting HR overnight is higher right now and as a result it won't charge. Anyone know?

Try overlaying the stress scores on the body battery graph and you'll get a better idea of what is going on. I can have nights where my body battery doesn't fully recover but that is usually a) post night…

I'm happy to say my old ass body recharged to 100% last night. I didn't think I had much battery life left :). And, I didn't have to stay at a Holiday Inn Express to know that.

I have exactly the same issue. Stress levels even when sleeping are high. I feel fine in the morning after getting 7-8 hours of sleep but my body battery only charges 9-15

Presumably a programming issue (I suspect a memory leak). For me, it helps to de- and reinstall the app (garmin 4 vivosmart I here have).

Obviously an old thread, but I'm running 5.77 beta on my 6X Pro Solar and, just as with firmware 5.00 (the first firmware I used) and later, my body battery numbers seem to work as expected. Last night I went to bed some time after 01:00 and BB easily made it to 100.

For the first time ever I have gotten my body battery up to 100 for two nights this week. A record! I did switch it on and off (settings in the widgets), though I doubt that did anything. I think my Fenix software updated this week. Wonder if that helped? I also had 3-4 days of a lot of laying around - multiple naps, reading and watching of Netflix.

My Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire updated to the 6.10 firmware and I just developed this issue. Usual nights sleep and body battery can't even get above 50. Always used to be pretty much 100 after a nights sleep. Something has gone wrong...

Maybe related, but does anybody else find that the watch does not resume measuring stress or updating body battery values for up to an hour or two after recording exercise? I can seldom get a reading from the widget either, during this post exercise period, but if I reboot the watch the measurement resumes immediately and body battery gets adjusted before continuing to track as it should. Note that even when the stress measurements don't work I still get live HR readings and pulse ox also works on demand. It is only stress that refuses to play nice.

I raised this with Garmin recently and sent in logs and they have invited me to exchange the watch. Other than the 24 hour heart rate tracking being off during periods of increased exertion I'm happy with my watch, but could this all be related to the sensor hardware? I don't understand why a reboot fixes it. That sounds like software getting stuck.
