I've been doing my long runs partially on a treadmill (because I hate running in the dar) and partially outside. Can I combine the two into one run?

Presuming you want the watch to catch your treadmill distance indoors and then GPS distance outdoors. This is how it would work with a treadmill first then outdoors. Select the Run activity. Before you start running, hold the settings button down, select Run Setttings, scroll down to GPS and select "off", then Back button until you get to the run activity screen. Start your run, the distance will be recorded using the arm swing accelerometer or footpod as usual. When you are done with the treadmill, hit the Stop button. Start walking outside. Hold the Settings button down again, select Current Activity, scroll down to GPS, select Normal (or whatever you like to use), then back out to the Resume screen. Here wait for the GPS signal to be acquired (Green circle) and then select Lap then Resume and off you go. For the last step you could skip hitting Lap and just hit Resume but it you do it with the lap then you table of laps will have a marker for when you transitioned.
Alternatively, you can use a custom multisport profile.
Yes, assign the functionality "switch activity" to a button and then you can easily perform outdoor run and and indoor run. Just tried it, worked perfectly.
... or you can prepare a multisport profile in advance, if you know what kind of activities and in what order you'd be doing. This way switching sports is even easier.
Would using multisport cause the run to be recorded as two separate activities upon saving?
