"Time to Go" data field on Fenix 5

Already exists.

Not in Fenix5! It’s present in Edge devices and maybe in some watches but not in F5. It should be a quick data field to implement.

Create a time controlled workout and deliver to watch.  On the workout datapage there is a countdown.

Wow I did not know!! I’ll try as soon as I can. Thanks bro!! But a specific data field let you create a custom page with data that you want to monitor: in this case 3s power, avg lap power and time remaining to the end of the repetition. Anyway I’ll try and I’ll give you a feedback!!

I use Lap Time, which is a count up, rather than a count down. But it does mean I have to remember the interval length, which can be tough on a hard interval with complex workout with different interval lengths.

And this is why I was asking for “Time to Go”. It should be easy to implement for Garmin... if they would!!

As far as I know there are no Garmin watches that have this data field available for use in custom pages, only Edge devices. It might be something that could be done in ConnectIQ though, as long as Garmin exposes the interval information to developers.

We'll wait... but it is fundamental for interval training!

unfortunately, the intervals or any of the workout parameters are not exposed to ConnectIQ. So yeah, out of luck. The only thing which can be done would be a hack, meaning you (user) manually input the interval times into the datafield and then when each lap finishes, it will go on to the next.

eg: Lap 1 is 5min, you set 5min into the app

lap2 is 2, you input 2 etc..etc..

 But this is manual and needs to be input ALL the time and every time you change the session parameters. Nt pretty.

I read that new update, which is actually in beta 14.73, is compatible with ConnectIQ 3.1. Does it mean that it is compatible with “Time to Go” data field modification?
