Activity stopped prematurely?

Hello,

I have a F5 w/ SW 13.30 and since recently (maybe last month) my activities look all weird in either Strava or Connect. In some activities, the recording seems to stop prematurely. That is, the end (or stop) point gets to nowhere close where I stopped the activity by clicking the button in the watch. However, when exploring the activity in either Strava or Connect I see that there's HR, steps, run cadence, temperature and height information beyond the end point until the moment I clicked the button the activity. Also, in the same period of time, in some activities I have noticed that GPS has lost signal for long periods of time, but recovering my position after a while. Both situations may be inter-related.

I don't recall any spectacular change on the device -- only that it was updated recently and that sometimes I wear the watch in the other wrist.

Has anybody experienced this situation? If so, any thought on how to fix it?

Thanks!

  • i don't had something like this. sounds (like you mentioned above) that the cause is loosing your gps signal. you can check in settings info -> if EPO is up to date.

  • Thanks for the feedback. Watch says:

    EPO: Current

    Also these could be meaningful:

    GPS: 2.50

    CIQ: 3.0.1

    BLE/ANT/SNS: 6.70

    WHR: 20.03.31

I don't know if any numbers ring a bell to a faulty version.

  • I am experiencing similar issues with my Fenix 5. Multiple activities (Running, Cycling, swimming). Despite locking the buttons, the activity stops mid activity prematurely. I look down at my watch and it is stopped. I then need to click resume in order to continue the activity but the data is lost for the period between it stopping by itself and me happening to notice it is stopped and clicking resume. Watch is up to date, and I have performed the Master Reset using these instructions but the issue persists.
