Fenix 5 Plus automatically starts interval when I press triangle button

Fenix 5 Plus automatically starts an interval when I press the triangle button for a run. How can I make it so it stops doing this? When I go for a walk and I press the triangle button, there is no problem and the time just starts with no interval. Please help. This is so annoying.

I am sorry there is an issue. It does not make any logical sense why your top right button is not giving you the normal options you will see when pressing it during an activity you are recording. It sounds like an issue has developed but I am hoping you can resolve it.

Please try the following:

- Hard reset: hold down your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go.

- Reset to Defaults Settings: Go to your System > Reset menu and select Reset to Defaults.
