Fenix 5X PLUS How to resume activity after power saving mode activates itself? {SOLVED}

I just got a Fenix 5X plus for mountain biking. I loaded a gpx file onto it,got to the trail system and started the route. When I stopped to rest for too long it kept entering power saving mode by itself which I didn't mind only that I couldn't figure out how to resume the activity after(de-activate power saving mode). Each time I had to navigate back to courses and re-launch the gpx route. I figured out how the move the power saving for MTB to extended instead of normal but how do I continue with my route after it enters the power saving mode without re-launching the GPX route? I have spent quite a bit of time on the goog looking for this simple answer. I can't seem to find the answer.

Extending your Power Save mode was a good idea since your Power Save mode was activating frequently: - Power Save Timeout Settings.

Extending your Power Save mode was a good idea since your Power Save mode was activating frequently: - Power Save Timeout Settings.

To avoid it from taking place so you do not have to go back in again and start the GPX route again, you will 'Quick Press' your top right button each time you take a break and select to "Resume Later". Your watch will then go back to the main display. When you quick press your top right button again, you will resume your MTB activity again.

Hi Chris,Thanks a ton for the reply. So am I to understand there is no clear way back to resume an activity after it enters power saving mode? and the only option is to prevent it from entering power saving mode entirely via. pause/resume?

The Power Save Timeout is saving your activity where you are at since you stopped for a break but did not use the Resume Later feature. This is why you are having to restart your MTB activity again.

Two options:

For breaks less than 25 minutes go to the activity settings and change Power Save Timeout from normal to extended

For breaks longer than 25 minutes, select Resume Later after you've stopped the activity but not saved it.
