Fenix 5plus battery drain

I’ve recently purchased the Fenix 5+ because my vivosmart battery would drain in just over a day.

The spec indicated upto 10 days for the F5+..... I’m lucky to get 2 days, with nothing running and no activities?

have I got a duff watch, or are there any secrets?

Ive checked and I’ve got all the latest updates!?

For me it worked. After updating with Garmin Express (all updates except the map updates I did) it's now back to normal battery drainage. Huge difference.

Please ensure your are software v13.00 and on Bluetooth (BT/BLE/ANT) software version 6.09.

Fully charge your watch battery and monitor the full drain. If you continue to see fast battery drain, please update this thread. Thank you.

After updating with the Playback update through Garmin Express the issue disappeared for me. Have yo tried that? After this update I'm now back to over a week of not needing to charge.

Sorry, I didn't pay so much attention to the file name and there's no history in Garmin Express so can't tell for sure, but I think Playback was in the update file name. Maybe Garmin Chris can sort this out. Is the Playback update the same as or included in the 6.09 driver bt?

Strange that there can be different results from watch to watch... The only other thing I did before doing the update was to uninstall the non-garmin watch faces but can't see that has anything to do with it

Yes, it is strange, but I do not use different covers than the ones that are already pre-installed. I only use a battery widget in some of the tests, in others (I don't install it after the reset).

I don't use a second option

I don't use wrist pulse

I do not use a link with the phone.

Just see the time :(

(Obviously when I don't do these tests, I do use the GPS for my sports activities)
