Volume too high

It seems that there is still a constant issue regarding volume control when connecting to several and different devices.

In my case i have the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 and the volume it damn too high. I have it in the minimum possible and i go deaf!

It should be possible to control the devices volume independently, not being in sync. For example, i have a mp3 player (SanDisk) and when i change the volume in the plantronics i don't change the actual volume of the mp3 player, it works independently... thank god, my ears appreciate it :)

How can i fix this? If i cant, then an update of the software watch should be done, i guess.

I use my cheap Taotronics headphones since 4 years now and they work perfectly with my fenix 5+ — low volume and high volume!

If the volume controls become unresponsive, try doing a hard reset. (Hold light button for 10-15sec until the watch shuts off, then power back up.

Happened a few times with my 5plus and Jaybird Tarah Pro, but a hard reset fixed it every time. Have not happened to me on the most recent firmware though! (9.10)

I didnt say that the volume controls are unresponsive. Just that the 2 devices have the volume control in sync, ie, they dont work independently.
Even so i did the hard reset just in case, but it still operates in the same way... and the minimum volume is still too high, the same like before :(

Ah, now I see, my bad!

But, isn’t that how most BT headphone remotes acts - just remotely controlling the volume on the source? All BT headphones I’ve had is controlling the volume on my iPhone, and that’s also how it’s working with my Fenix 5+ so didn’t really think there was any other way.

Personally, I’m glad I don’t have to adjust multiple volume controls!

Well if that works for you then you are lucky i guess. I wouldnt mind with the sync if the range was much bigger, so i wouldnt go deaf when selecting the minimum volume possible lol

If you go deaf when selecting the lowest possible volume that sounds like a problem with your headset, not the watch. I have three different headsets, and the volume controls/range acts normally just as they do connected to any other source. (Phone, laptop, ipad, TV etc)

In my phone i have the Backbeat app where i can regulate its volume, which gave me the ability to not go deaf in my phone. Guess something like this should exist for the watch also, if the volume opperates in a 100% sync way.

I tested with the old verison of BackBeat Fit (earbuds are connected) and the minimum volume is bearable. Shame it does not do the same with the new versions.
