Steps Synch

My Fenix 5 Plus doesn’t synch my overall steps from Garmin Connect app. I have other Garmin watches that I use during the day and I would like to see my overall steps when I use the 5 Plus. Can someone help me understand this is not happening.

Do you have TrueUp enabled for you Fenix 5 Plus?

Yes I have. But my Forerunner 235 doesn’t have TrueUp I think and updated the steps.

Is your Fenix also set as Preferred Activity Tracker?

I'm not 100% sure, (and I don't know why), but I think it has to be the preferred tracker in order to have activity tracker data like steps, stairs, etc. synced back to it from Connect.

Also, I think only devices needs to be TrueUp compatible in order to receive data from Connect, so as long as the steps from your 235 show up in Connect, they should also show up on your Fenix. (But not the other way around if it is correct that the 235 doesnt support it)

EDIT: According to garmin.com the FR235 also supports TrueUp for acitivity tracking, so it should work both ways.

I have my Vivosmart HR+ as my preferred activity tracker. But the steps data updates on my 235 and not on my Fenix 5 Plus. That’s why I don’t understand.
