Anyone else use their 5+ for golf? The shot tracking feature for me has not worked for months reliably. I have sent quite a few FIT files over the Fenix team and they report they cannot reproduce the issue.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Want to laugh?
I called today for an update after having sent all possible data from the phone.
Customer support told me that IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY HEAR ABOUT THIS ISSUE.....
And they responded with a list of bullet points like "wear it on your left wrist", "hit the ball", etc..... Translated from english in italian with google translate.
This isn't serious.
I'm not sure the support team is actually doing anyhting on it.
Every call i have to re-explain from scratch, and my watch still doesn't work...
lol - I'm laughing on the outside but crying on the inside.
Exactly the same with me. They 'cannot reproduce the problem' and no one else has reported it. Yeah right. I will log another ticket.
i guess it's a joke, i had no less than 10 calls with Support, they even replaced my watch, and everytime "we don't have any other report on this"....
Either their reporting sistem isn't working, or there is something "evil" in this....
This is beyond frustrating, I agree. I updated the firmware on my 5+ to V9 on the weekend and took it for a test drive yesterday and once again it only picked up 2 or 3 tee shots with my driver. I was bombing it too, so weak contact is not an issue. I've tried hard to work with numerous people from Garmin support on this but I'm getting to the point where if this isn't resolved and soon then this will be the last Garmin wearable I purchase.
Even the dedicated golf watches suffer from the same problem, based on discussions I've had with S20 owners and commeonts on this thread:
I’ve had this problem forever. I wish Garmin would just give up and bring back the ability to manually measure shots which worked great. Until issues like this are addressed I won’t be considering the Marq Golfer.
Auto Shot works flawlessly on the Fenix 6. After going through two 5 Plus devices I upgraded to the 6 and I'm very happy with the new golf app.
I HAD to upgrade to Fenix 6 pro solar, also after your advice ;).
It works....
I've seen you can also add manual measurement if you miss a shot, only me or everybody?
Its gotten worse. Today i got 3 holes of 18 registered in the golf app, and even those had missed tee shots. Its catastrophic and needs to be resolved.
Hi - the 5plus for golfing was for me unusable - few shots detected overall. Reluctantly (for lthe lack of alternatives) i HAD to upgrade to 6 Pro, and it actually works.
But the 5 Plus was hopeless, like Garmin assistance.... Who kept DENYING the problem multiple times to multiple users.
