Tides app on Quatix 7pro

Epix pro gen 2 user here.

I can confirm that time schedule of hi and low tides are completely off, comparing to oficial sites, here in Portugal.

Example for Lisbon:

On Watch: Hi tide 13.12h - 2,5m

                  Low tide: 19.21h - 0,5m

Oficial site: Hi tide 13.59h - 3,4m

                   Low tide: 19.53h - 1m

1. I contacted Garmin support UK ( they don't have an Ireland office). They suggested I update my base maps.  I did but with no improvement to the Tides app data. They said they had let the Tides app team know of the issue. The test now is if they will actually sort it out.  It's actually irresponsible for Garmin to pre-install the app when it's so inaccurate.  You could run aground when sailing. For me it places the watch in a gimmick category. 

Hello guy_mx99 Since you have already started working with Product support regarding this concern, I would recommend continuing your discussion with them, if this is still an ongoing concern.

Ik heb hier ook last van Garmin haalt de gegevens  van worldweather.com, die gegevens komen overeen met mijn Epix Gen 2. Maar dus niet met de werkelijkheid. Ik kreeg deze tip van javawa, een gps expert uit Nederland. Ik denk dus dat Garmin contact op moet nemen met dit bedrijf. Ik heb zelf een mail gestuurd, maar nog geen antwoord. 

• Yes.  If Garmin sorts it out then I will post about it here.  So far, Garmin haven't sorted it out. 

Have you tried starting an outdoor activity to get a fresh GPS soak? Sometimes the tide data needs a hard location refresh to align with local DST offsets.
