iOS app notifications problem

There should be a notification filtering option within the Garmin connect iOS app, because I have several news apps whose notifications I don't want to turn off to appear in the Notification center, but I don't want my Epix watch to buzz with every single news item. Any workaround?

JFYI, turning that option off, does not stop the notifications appearing on the phone.

This official support page says:

"Toggle Allow Notifications on.
Ensure the Notification Center has been check-marked
Ensure Show Previews is set to Always (Default) or When Unlocked."

If I uncheck in ios settings "Notification Centre", notifications won't appear in the Notification Centre.

The notification will still appear on your phone, anyway. I re-tested it just now in order to demonstrate it to you that it works in this way. I disabled the Notification Center option at Strava, and then synced an activity, in order to generate a notification from Strava. It did not alert me on the watch, and it still did alert me on the iPhone.
