Hello,
Our engineers are investigating reports of the touch screen on your AMOLED device not working to access the Morning Report. For this, I would love to collect some specific examples of this concern…

Laurie ,it’s fine as it is and thank you for clarifying it
Thought my Epix was having problems with morning report until I found this thread! I've just got a recertified one and thought I might have to reach out to Garmin again. Glad it's not just me, and hopefully…
Yes, had the same issue starting a few months ago. Now I get phantom touches activating menus that have forced me to deactivate touch.
the delay / inability to activate the morning report started a few months ago. Now the screen in my EPIX (2022) is glitchy with phantom touches activating menus. Deactivating touch "solves" the issue and I can use buttons.
I believe this can be a systemic issue across amoled devices. I'd think twice before getting this watch at the current price point.
Garmin-Laurie stil needs to fix it
I don't have this problem. On my Epix Gen 2, morning report works flawlessly. No problems with swiping at all.
Update March 20, 2025:
Our engineers are aware that when sleep mode is ended, and you are presented with the Morning report the touch screen will not respond until buttons are pressed. They are indicating this is not a software bug. This is working as expected to keep the AMOLED display disabled until you are ready to use it outside of sleep.
Since many have expressed the desire to change this, they are looking at potentially disabling this effect. This would be changed with a future software update. However there is not a set time frame on this change. I will post again, once there are further updates.

@Garmin-Laurie ,I agree it is fine the way it is. Thanks for the explanation.
Thanks Laurie. That makes sense and they should leave it the way it is.
I'm with others, now that we know that it's the intended functionality, I'm fine with leaving it as is. Rather than changing the feature as a whole, maybe make it an "option" to enable or disable the effect.
Introducing… battery drain 3.0!
Please don’t touch it
