Having previously said it was working, albeit quite slow to respond sometimes, I can confirm that today it was definitely not working until I pressed the down button. Tried multiple times to swipe, waiting up to 10 seconds each time. So there is without doubt a bug of some sort there.
Updated to 17.20 yesterday, this morning I got the report, as always; first is screen is a bit slow, though, but this was true with 16.22 as well.
I have having the same problem with my Epix pro 51
I am having this same issue since 17.23 was installed coming from version 16.x. Hopefully will be fixed soon in another update Garmin?
Same issue on my Epix, touch works perfectly on everything AFTER pressing the down button when viewing the morning report. Just updated to 17.23. Hope it is fixed soon.

Same for me. What sucks is that it's so laggy until it reacts to the button.

personally I am in 2 minds about this:
1) annoying that touch doesn't work.
2) like the idea that it doesn't as then I can't accidently touch it and remove it while still sleeping/snoozing....
(this is occuring post my wake up time / watch set up is for sleep: DND on , Battery saver on etdited for HR only / General use is set up for AOD off, alerts on, wrist gesture off).
Nolt sure if the change is due to wrist gesture off, or something cropped up in 17.28 - personally I think its a 17.28 issue especially considering how bad the 17.xx has been in terms of the number of bugs its introduced (not sure if garmin would have been better off resetting everyone back to 16.xx, fixing the issues in 17xx and then releasing with 18.xx). Never seen thatt level of bugs that 17.xx contains in 6 years I have been using garmins.
