Which watch face are you using with your epix2?
It's probably worthwhile and helpful to mention about any specific preferences or requirements you may have.
e.g. I personally find analog watch faces aesthetically pleasing, but find it annoying when the watch hands cover the data I am trying to read, so I normally stick with digital watch faces. I know settings can adjust this to some degree, but my watch is a tool to help me with my training.
e.g. I also have some data fields that must be displayed on the watch face, so this limits what watch faces I will use e.g. based on how many fields can be displayed, or on whether the watch face supports the specific fields I am after.
I also do not use the touch screen (other than on maps which I don't need on a regular basis) so I leave the touch screen disabled on most of my activities.
As a minimum I require the following fields to be displayed: Time, Date, Steps, Active Calories, Battery Remaining, Current Heart Rate, Notification icon/count
If available I also will include the following fields: Total calories, Body Battery, Stress, Floors, Altitude
The current 4 watch faces I have loaded are below.
Fenix7 Pro MB by Manuel B - this is my go to watch face for 90% of the time. It is functional, gives me the data that I need, has ok battery drain, and dims as part of the AOD gesture capabilit
Fusion V2 by Bastos65 - I like the look and data of this watch face, but unless I have missed the setting the AOD gesture shows a simplified time/date rather than all the fields, so I usually switch back to the Fenix7 Pro MB
Epix 2 T by Ershovlad - a nice analogue face. Takes the existing Garmin design and adds in things like Active Calories. I find the battery drain previously was a little high, and that I find analog watch faces annoying when they cover the data
D2 Mach 1 MB by Manuel B - Another analog watch face that provides the data I am after, but find that analog faces look nice, but obscure the data when I need it.
Nice watchface, but it would be perfect when you can open widgets by holding the data field.
Thanks! I'd implement that if Garmin would make it available. I don't think they will though...
This is the one I created and recently updated for EPIX: apps.garmin.com/.../f12c5ca4-8ea6-4810-beee-40fa7d88108b
Really happy to see Infocal back and being updated as Infocal Reloaded. A big thank you! I know you are focusing on bug fixes and stability at the moment. Looking forward to seeing some of the new metrics become available such as Body Battery, Stress etc and further refinement/enhancements as your time permits!
Now you get the answer you looking for? Scroll thru the watchfaces and try what you want, what you like or so.
Always a stock one, to avoid issues
Similar, but different info. The gauge at the top is the only way I found to show active calories on a stock watchface, as training load data doesn't seem to be available (would be better than active calories for me)
