Anyone with an Epix 2 wish they had the Fenix 7X instead?

Basically for the much longer battery life to not have to even think about it.

I got a week out of the Epix, but I cant stop myself from always checking the battery meter on it to see where its at.

The maps screen is so beautiful on the Epix though.

My ideal would be a 7X or Tactix with the AMOLED screen, even if it costs some battery life. I have an Epix 2 and it's awesome, but I want this in a 51mm.

Exactly, although I got used to it from other Fenix's I owned, 3, 3HR, 5X, 6X.

Nope, love the Epix 2 to bits. Hate that massive ring around the screen with the 7X

I like the titanium solar sapphire variant. Looks very much like the Epix 2 with screen off.

Yes, I like that one too, in Carbon Grey.
I just cant get over the lower res screen though of the Fenix 7X, and hard to read in the shade with sunglasses on.
At least thats how it was with my 6X.

I'm using the Venu 2 with 2/3 days with AOD and i'm fine with it because i recharge the watch, daily, during the shower...Epix 2 with the 4/6 days is more than enough for me.

I tried the VA4 before the Venu series and i really dislike the MIP display....you can give me also 1 year of battery life but i don't want something that i don't like.

Yep, each to their own.

I just hate charging the watch, even though once a week is pretty good for the Epix.
I want the watch to stay on my wrist forever.

I already have to charge my phone twice a day, multiple headphones, etc

All the bike gear, power meter, GoPro, HRM, blah.

Having to charge a watch say every 2 to 3 weeks would be nicer, which I'm pretty sure for my use case a Fenix 7x could do..

No, I am very happy with the Epix and battery life has been great. However, I do wish they had made the stainless steel variant with the features of the Sapphire versions (sapphire screen, GPS bands, extra storage). I returned the stainless steel version for the black sapphire because of the features (and I had the 20% discount from Garmin), but I really liked the look of the stainless steel version (which is probably why they use this variant for much of their marketing).

Yes, I preferred the Steel one as well, but opted for the Black Sapphire for the extra hardware features.

I concur…I was surprised that they didn’t offer the 32 gig and multi-band and sapphire screen. I sort of feel am missing out on the best spec if I want silvery-color. That sort of led me to consider Fenix 7 titanium graphite. I can already tell will likely have glare outside vs. Epix but looks the same overall and at least would have better battery life.

The "pixelated" graphic and the fact that the "always on" display is not really "always on" as i was not able to see anything within dark environments.

Maybe all normal stuff for many but it was my first(and last) MIP and i discovered about MIPs after i got the watch...on website photos it looks a lot better
