Enduro won't stay connected to Windows computer

Hello

Since I have bought it, my Garmin Enduro won't stay connected to my Windows PC and thus I am unable to use Garmin express.

I am limited to bluetooth usage with my phone only.

When I plug in my watch, it enters a loop of conect-disconnect with my PC. I can see this because the "USB connected" sound and "USB disconnected" sound plays over and over again in a cyclical fashion. I have tried USB2 and USB3 ports, direct motherboard ports, USB humbs, powered USB hubs, resetting the Enduro to factory.

Watch is using "Garmin mode" and not "storage mode". It does not make a difference anyhow.

Nothing helps.

Anyone has a clue as to why? Every other USB peripheral is OK with the computer, in any port.

Check the cable connection to the watch for contamination on the pins and security of the connection. Try a new cable.

Tried with three different cables.

The only difference I can observe is that USB2 ports have a better chance of connecting and staying connected for like a minute, but all of these drop anyway at some point.

Did you already try cleaning the contacts on the watch?

Cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and cotton, they are always well protected under a small rubber cover.

Watch shows no problems when it's charging only, so I guess the contacts work just fine.

If you have the possibility, try it with another computer, to see whether it does not come from your PC.

Tried on another different computer. The Enduro initially syncs with Garmin Express, and then starts the connecting-disconnecting dance again.

Honestly, this is quite frustrating for a watch this expensive.

I tried a different cable and a different computer. I reset the watch to factory. I cleaned the contacts which are now sparkling clean, and I can't sync or get software updates to my Enduro.

In that case I'd contact the Support and ask for a replacement.

Try starting the watch in service mode and then connect it to the computer. This works for my Fenix 6X Pro.
