Maps Prompting for Update Despite Latest Version Installed

Hello, I recently purchased an Enduro 3 and installed the Central Europe TopoActive maps through Garmin Connect. The download completes without issues, and the maps work fine. However, in the watch’s maps and navigation section, it still prompts me to update the maps, even though I’ve already downloaded the latest version.

Is there a solution to this issue, or is it simply a bug?

Connect the watch to the PC and search for the file "garmindevice.xml" on the watch in Windows explorer and delete it. Disconnect the watch from the computer and switch it off. Wait 10 seconds and switch it on again. The garmindevice.xml file is then automatically recreated.

Isn’t it risky to delete this file?

If it is a bug, it’s likely the situation won’t change.

I imagine that every file on the mass storage could be deleted w/o breaking your watch. It likely stores everything related to your profile, music, apps, and customizations.

I tried to follow your instructions but unfortunately the problem remains. My watch still tells me that a map update is available. I hope this issue is resolved. Thank you anyway

I actually have the same issue and I also downloaded the same exact map through Garmin express
