List of issues/drawbacks. Loving the hardware, but slightly disappointed with the purchase.

Got my Enduro 3, using it since monday and while there are a lot of improvements, there are also things that are worse than in my Fenix 6 which will be 5 years old soon.

While the hardware is really nice, I'm having a slight buyer's regret.

Here are the list of problems that I've found in literally the first days of using it (not even a week!):

- there is no white background option for watchfaces,

- there is no white accent colour for watchfaces (there are white-like colors, but not completely white - you literally cannot make hours/minutes the same colour),

- there is no way to disable the seconds on the watchface,

- there are less widget options than in the previous gen watches (for example - sunset and sunrise widget is missing),

- there are LESS THAN HALF watchface options to pick (when compared to F7Pro),

- there's no way to enable sound notifications for navigation,

- some UI elements are really hidden, for example I couldn't easily find the option to disable navigation during activity,

- you can't disable some sounds, for example the "beep" for phone connected/disconnected (had it muted on my F6),

- some text in the watch faces is cut off partially,

- find my phone rings for like 0,5s then stops (Galaxy S22, on Fenix 6 it works perfectly),

I feel like this is unacceptable to have that amount of drawbacks on a watch which is nearly a thousand bucks - again, some of the things were not an issue in my really old F6.

If you've found other problems, please post here - maybe some Garmin people browse those topics and will pass the info around.

  • I have sunrise and sunset in glances and on my watch face. No one should buy a Garmin watch on day one and expect it to run a smoothly as a previous gen watch that's had tons of updates it just doesn't happen there always full of bugs when new. Apart from a couple of things like wanting a proper graph on the main page for heart rate/solar and yesterday following a course setting it to track up made no difference it stuck to north up but no biggy I'm sure it will get sorted.

  • Chiming in to complain that there's no way to display the move bar on any default watchfaces. It's super helpful to me, I use it every day to keep moving throughout the day, but I usually miss the move alert. I prefer using built-in watchfaces but I'm forced to use a connect iq one for it. Anywhere there's a data bar, like the steps bar, it would be able to fit as a data field, but it's missing for some reason

  • Looks like Fenix 8 AMOLED is getting new watchfaces via software updates (which I wouldn't expect to happen tbh).

Since lack of watchfaces is one of my original complaints, can anyone from Garmin confirm or deny whether Enduro 3 will get the same treatment?

  • Here is another issue. Support has ignored me and for some reason I have not seen it mentioned on the forum but found people on Reddit.

    * Uploading activities via WIFI fails for some recorded activities

I have the watch for about 2 weeks now and have collected seven activities which fail to upload. The watch shows an upload failure when I attempt to sync it. Using Garmin Express does not work either. The activities are ignored without an error message.

The stay inside the GARMIN\Activity\PendingHD folder until I remove them. Uploading it to the Connect website manually works without any issues.

Watches with the new UI should have been released in 2025. The software is not ready! Can't get over the fact that I get no turn alerts when using the navigation and that I can not use my own maps. The Garmin maps are unusable when hiking as they can not create routes on forest roads or hiking trails. So I always carry my GPSMAP 66sr with me as the watch can not be relied onThumbsdown

  • Totalmente de acuerdo. No sé pueden gestionar los mapas. Yo he desistido del reloj por ahora. Lo tengo en un cajón, hasta que actualicen y solucionen los básicos (los mapas). Es como si no me hubiera comprado un reloj.

  • This is interesting. I've been able to create routes on fire roads, some of which are quite derelict, but haven't tries with trails. Did the earlier models do this?

It also appears that currently there is no way to use custom maps, but I wonder if this will change.

Lastly, last time I navigated I got turn alerts for every turn, vibration and beeps, and in fact there was no way to turn it off, at least not that I found.

  • For Garmin, customers are all Beta tester, that is very sad. And we are all concerned, Forerunner x55/x65, Fenix 7 Series, V3/VA5, Edge

We do not need only new features, but stable product.

Only 1 month since product launch. It's not Garmin reativty, it's Garmin trying to catch the train of a 1000$ very buggy product.

  • I'm absolutely lovin' mine!

Now that the cold plunge bug is solved (tried it out this morning), I have yet to find a fault/bug.
