Enduro 3 showing DFU (System, About)

Hi there,

I hope all is well.

Just got Enduro 3. Updated to 11.60. However, when I go to System, About, I see DFU. Is this expected? Not? I am afraid to have a defective device somehow.

I really appreciate any advice.

I can assure you, your device does have a serial number. So this not displaying does not mean your device is defective. DFU, will always display after the software version. in most models the…

This is also printed outside of the Enduro 3. This will be on the outer rim of the watch, beneath the band. You may need to remove the band to see this.

I have the same on mine. Dfu stands for device firmware update

It is expected. It does not affect the operation of the watch.

That is my "doubt." If this is a device firmware update, it tells me the device needs to be updated. No? It is strange having that in the about, as other watches (Epix Pro and Tactix Amoled) do not have it.

I do not think so. But if you think your device needs an update, connect it to a computer with Garmin Express and check for updates. However, the last public version is v11.60, so your version is all right.

Thanks for answering. It is up to date. I am asking because DFU in the "Apple world" is something else completely different. Would be nice to know what is really DFU in the Garmin world as I don't have it in other watches. If you guys have it, I am OK. Thank you.
