After update the watch via Garmin Express. It showing "Need wireless v28.17"

I just received the watch today. It can connect to phone at begging. After update the watch via Garmin Express (It updated to 11.60). It can't connect to phone anymore. I tried follow the guide. But no luck. It showing "Need wireless v28.17" when I click pair phone on watch.

I tried reset it. When reach pair phone step. Same error message.

I connected support. They can arrange replacement . But I don't want to wait for that again... I found some old model watch can upload some file to the watch to fix those firmware issue. Is enduro 3 can do the same to solve it?? I worry after replace another watch and perform update. Can have same error... Or I should not upgrade firmware?

11.64 just released. Maybe try update to 11.64. See is that have any luck to solve it. And Garmin really need have a way to let use solve it. Return to Garmin means you have few week can’t use the watch…

Hello, I have the same issue with my Forerunner 265. My watch asked me this morning to make an update, I accepeted it. Now, I cannot connect my watch anymore to my mobile because of "Need wireless v28.17". It is really frustrating. what can we do to solve this issue ? Can we rollback to the previous version ?

This happened to me this morning. I have a replacement coming. I feel that this update has some serious issues going on with it.

I plan on avoiding this particular update on the new watch until they figure out what is going on.

Garmin support only provide replace for my enduro 3.

Similar story and with my fenix8. Express suggested update, but after the same error, only numbers 28.83. Need wireless v28.83. They work, but without synchronization, very uncomfortable.

11.64 just released. Maybe try update to 11.64. See is that have any luck to solve it. And Garmin really need have a way to let use solve it. Return to Garmin means you have few week can’t use the watch.

I had the same issue with a forerunner265 - newly bought, installed update and the v28.17 occurred.

Fixed it doing the following:
- Removed the watch from the Garmin Connect App and from my bluetooth on my phone

- Set back the watch to Default setting via the system settings on the watch

- Connect the reseted watch via cable to Garmin Express (needs to be installed from the web) on my PC

- Installed the suggested update via the Garmin Express

- Added the Watch back to my Garmin Connect App on my phone and redid the setup in the app

It now works again - hope that helps :)
