MIP Solar Descent MK3i

The Fenix 8 is an impressive piece of kit and while the dive features don't meet all my needs, no AI for ex, it has all the dive features most recreational divers need.

what I can't understand is why a MIP version of the descent wasn't released, I sold my mk2 in anticipation this would be the case, I like amoled indoors but in sunlight MIP knocks the socks of amoled, if garmin produced a solar MIP version I'd by it tomorrow

I can't understand why Fenix 8 had MIP versions. So many SKUs to make couple of MIP lovers in the forums…

Me neither, but someone did say they wanted this on a thread recently, have to wait and see reviews on how it compares to sherewater perdix, it'll have to be very good to unseat it

I think I was that. Or at least I would have wanted that. Damnit! But ok, good to see that coming, but probably don't want to switch from Mk3i to that now.. Maybe in future some future version.

Was that you, You got your wish, it looks fantastic, save up for it and use as a back up, garmin recommends it when setting up the watch!

Ah, it was the other post, but still :) Do we think there will be a Pro version of the Mk3i released? The outdated hardware (Elevate 4 sensor) of the Mk3i really bugs me. - Descent Mk3 Series - Wearables - Garmin Forums

Yep, but unfortunately, I now have the Descent Mk3i and with my amount of dives, probably it's Descent Mk3i for some years and maybe then in future some future version of the big form factor Garmin dive computer.
