20.10 Applied Ballistics MK2i

The new 20.10 software release says it added Applied Ballistics to the MK2/MK2!. After installing it onto the watch, I tried running it, but was presented with "AB locked. Unlock in the AB Synapse - Garmin mobile app". So I download that, and the app doesn't even detect the watch. Yes, my watch is connected just fine to ALL other Garmin apps on my phone just fine (Connect, Connect IQ, etc). Has anyone been able to get this to work, or did Garmin just update the watch software and not even touch the AB Synapse - Garmin app?

Thank you for your post. The newly added Descent Mk2 series Applied Ballistics subscription feature is an option added with the v20.10 software. However, it sounds like the Descent Mk2 series software was updated first with the ability to unlock your watch to use the feature but the critical secondary step required - paying to unlock the Applied Ballistics software is not yet completed on the AB Synapse APP side yet.

I will be happy to update this thread once I learn more.

The Applied Ballistics app doesn't let me do anything without the app being able to detect the watch. In other words, it won't let me even get to the payment screen to purchase the subscription without detecting the watch first.

It has been confirmed that the AB Synapse - Garmin APP available through Connect IQ has not yet had the Descent MK2 series added into the APP. It will be added as soon as possible to the APP.

Once the Descent MK2 series has been added, the Applied Ballistics feature can be purchased and added to your watch.
