Garmin Descent MK3 when? Release?

I have absolutely no idea I do know that the MK1 was released mid 2018 and the Mk2 mid 2022 so historically 4 years between models.

Mk2 was released 2020 so Mk3 is already theoretically overdue however there were rumours that the chip shortage etc was affecting production causing delays.

I was planning on buying one too but will be holding off, mainly because I’m hoping they scrap the sonar transmitter following the numerous complaints about its annoying high pitch beeping 

You are quite correct, I forgot I bought a Mk2 in October 2020, It was the Mk2i that I bought mid 2022. So only 2 years between those models

If it comes out it’s usually a Q4 release. The Mk2s was the latest release in their descent series which was 2021 so it could be end of this year for the new one however with them launching the G1 last year and rumours of an S1 being due this year it’s anyone’s guess. 

I’m going to hold out this year and see, if it doesn’t get released I might end up investing in the Teric instead. 

You can get rid of the sound by putting it on a long HP hose and having it secured half way down the cylinder.  Been doing that for over a year now and never been a problem and definitely can hear a thing from the transmitter.

do you remember when MK2 released? (or first got information about release dates?)

What i remember, i saw in Jan 2020 MK2i in the stores

Because read somewhere, that  it might be in FEB/Marc 2023. As if it end of 2023 - then makes not so big sense to wait

P.S. G1 - is other product (low price option), mk2s - just smaller version.
