MK2i reboots upon connecting to Garmin Connect

Hi all

I've just updated my MK2i to the APAC firmware 14.20 and shortly after the upgrade I realised my MK2i was constantly restarting within ~30-45 seconds after booting up.

After some trial and error I realised that it was restarting only after connecting to BT and Garmin Connect - if I disable BT on my phone or uninstall Garmin Connect, the phone is perfectly happy and doesn't reboot. I've also tried unpairing and re-pairing, didn't help. I'm trying to avoid doing a factory reset for now.

Never had any problem with my watch before this update. I guess my post is as much a call for help and warning to others about quickly installing the new update.

Same w me. Thanks to your tip, I at least can use the Watch without synching.

Same with me i try to reset and delete all data on watch but it doesnt work then i try delete all data on my phone now it cannot pair with my watch anymore T_T.

Correct, same with MK2s. Unfortunantly you will need to fo a full reset of your watch and phone app - and then it will work. However once that is working, your sync via wifi might start giving you the 'sync failed" issue, which I have seen now on 2 seperate MK2s units.

same here, factory reset on the watch and data wipe on the app helped

Same here, but I solved the issue after "reset default setting"(keep all data and activity logs) in MK2i.
