Not working- Descent MK1

I slept with 80% charge. in the morning my device was turned off and never turned on. Garmin app last measured my heart rate at 00.38 am. the device is currently turned off and I cannot turn it on.
.
After, I called the service. They said that mk1 may have updated overnight. Will it decrease by 80% on an update? It didn't make sense to me. I have not tried charging. I am currently in another city. The charging cable is not with me.

I doubt that an update would drain the battery that much.

Do you happen to know what firmware level you were on? If you have recorded any recent activities (walks, runs, dives) it shows what firmware level you were on at the time in both Garmin Connect Mobile and on the web.

The latest version is 10.40 and that came out over a month ago. It seems odd that it would do an update now, all of a sudden.

You're probably not going to be able to do anything until you can get access to the USB cable.

Note: if not charging, it is the soft reset step while unplugged and then while plugged into charge, will often resolve a non-charging scenario too.
