GPS 2.50 (!) after 10.10 software update -- why the (!) ?

I just successfully updated to the 10.10 software version. However the GPS software version shows "2.50 (!)"

It's that exclamation mark that concerns me. I know from past updates that indicates a version mismatch.

Is this expected? Can you please share guidance on how to resolve?

The actual version is GPS 2.60, I guess that's why it shows the (!) at the outdated version 2.50. Just connect to Garmin Express and the new GPS firmware is loaded, at least it did for my MK1.

The actual version is GPS 2.60, I guess that's why it shows the (!) at the outdated version 2.50. Just connect to Garmin Express and the new GPS firmware is loaded, at least it did for my MK1.

Got 2.60 as well after the second update...

Attached AGAIN for the second time and got another set of updates. Got the message on startup of the watch "Installing GPS Update". This included the new 2.60 GPS and now my version shows 2.60 WITHOUT the ! exclamation sign.

My other versions in the About screen are:

Display 2.50

Wi-Fi 2.40

CIQ 3.1.8

BLE/ANT/SNS 6.70

WHR 20.03.31

That did it. Used Garmin Express and got "2.60" (no worrisome '!")

Previously I had been updating via the iOS app and Web Updater. Not sure why they give a different experience. Seems like the best practice is to just try all the different update methods until you get it to a good state.

Hey guys, some of you have already had an issue with your GPS software updating. The 10.10 update also contains an update to the Display Hub software version. If either your GPS or Display are stuck on the old software version with an (!) next to it you will want to connect your Descent to a computer and install the update using Garmin Express.
