Editing a dive in Garmin Connect Mobile on iOS is broken!

I discovered this issue when looking into the Conservatism display issue here:

The only edits I normally do in Garmin Connect Mobile (or web for that matter) are changing the name, location and privacy for a dive. They work fine. I personally don't care about the other edits not working as detailed below but others might. It at least should be fixed.

If I go into a dive in GCM on my iPhone the details are displayed thus:

If I then Edit the Activity and change:

Name
Dive Location
Weight
Suit Type
Thickness
Visibility
Notes
Gas Details (including deleting the second gas)

I then Save and the updated data are shown:

All good so far. If I go back to the dive list, open another dive, go back to the list and open this dive again only the following data have been updated:

Name
Dive Location
Notes

Everything else has reverted, including the second gas I deleted!

While collecting this data I found another error. Somehow while going through this the time of the dive has changed from 11:07am to 3:07pm! I'll have to try to work out at what step that occurred!

It's a complete mess on yours.

At least on mine is just deleting the conservatism, but everything else remains.

For anyone wanting to use Garmin Connect App as a portable dive log, we are looking for troubles...

PS: forgot to add Android too on your subject, hahahaha!

I'd be surprised if anyone would be serious about using Garmin Connect for their dive log. It is the worst I have seen. It is also why no one has reported the above problems.

It gets worse. Unbelievably so!

So, I wanted to fix the incorrect start time for my dive. I didn't want to use GCM on my iPhone so I used the web version. Man, what a load of junk!

Basically, I started with the dive with the correct time of 11:07am (by setting it to 10:07am), then Edited the activity, changed nothing and saved. Then did that again.

It appears that the time changing problem above is caused by incorrect handling of DST by Garmin Connect Web. That dive is my first dive after DST changed on 6 October, and so the GMT+11 is really GMT+10 +DST.

I did the edit loop on a dive before DST started and it works fine.

I checked my last dive just before DST ended in April this year. It has GMT+10:00 as the time zone (even though DST was in effect) and editing doesn't update the time. But my Mk1 was on 6.0.0.0 at the time. I suspect that 8.0.0.0 has changed the way DST is handled. I'll see whether these problems continue with subsequent dives.

Hey Guys, this should be resolved with the latest update to Connect Mobile. If you are still seeing the issue you may need to uninstall and re install the app. Please let me know if you are still experiencing the same issue after updating/re installing the app.

Thanks, Nate. It appears to be working now.

What about the issue with saving a dive with the web version? It looks to be an error in determining when DST started.

Is this also valid for Android devices?

Because on mine it's still messed up

Didn't Nate say they only just created the case for the Android issue?

Yup, they seem to be working on the problem. He started the case 3 days ago.

I find interesting how a fix came out for IOS just a day ago and still nothing for Android users. That's why I am asking to make sure that I haven't missed anything.
