Using tides menu prevents g1 from going into a dive mode

If you jump into water while looking at tides, watch wouldn't switch into a dive mode regardless of depth. This behavior is highly undesirable on a DIVE watch. Dear Garmin, please look into it. And no, I do not need to jump through support hoops to tell you - it's bad. Make watch default into most recent dive mode if it detects submersion.

  • Thank you for taking the time to submit feedback on your experience. I have sent you a PM message to gather more information. I will be happy to write a new customer experience that will escalate to our Descent G1 engineering team to request consideration to change the behavior to allow switching to Dive if you are viewing the Tides.

In the future, it will be important to not be in other menus when you begin your Dive session.
