How to stop Surface Interval time after I finish my free dive activity? (the "back" bottom doesn't work)

Is it normal that my Descent G1 solar keep counting Surface Interval time after I finished my free dive?

Up to now, my Surface Interval time is 65hr and 46min.

I tried to restart the watch but it keep counting. It feels like I didn't totally end the Apnea mode and keep running backstage.

I tried to start another sporty mode but it keep counting.

Pls let me know how to solve this problem.

Given that the Surface Interval time is - by definition - the time since you last surfaced then no, it doesn't stop and nor should it. Mine's currently on 72 days.

so it is normal? doesn't it consume more battery?

Yes, it's normal, and it's only comparing the current date/time with the fixed date/time of the end of your last dive, so there's no significant battery consumption involved.

I have the same issue with my MK2s. It *should* end the dive session when hitting the back button and save. But mine stopped doing that. And now just continually counts surface time and will not save the dive any more. I ended up warrantying it. What happened with yours?
